Former IAAP Presidents will join a panel to speak to the IAAP’s need to foster and secure collegiality among its members amidst the sharp divisions that we are experiencing in the world today.
The divisive forces among and within countries may stem from longstanding cultural complexes, or ideological differences regarding religious and cultural diversity, or overpopulation and migration of large numbers of desperate people due to ecological changes and climate conditions, and these forces may lead to war between nations that house IAAP Member Groups.
Under such conditions, will the center hold? Can the IAAP maintain a sense of unity and collegiality as an international association among the Member Groups in the 21st Century? What would be the psychological basis for continued collegiality?
The past Presidents will speak to these questions from a variety of perspectives and will invite discussion with the audience. 90 minutes requested.
