The lessons animals are teaching us are at the cutting edge in understanding links to both climate change and phenomena like the Covid pandemic. Orcas (killer whales) are behaving in unusual ways (attacking boats) and are developing skin lesions which appear to be the symptom of serious underlying conditions affecting the whales’ health – from immune suppression to infertility – and their presence is a warning sign that things are not well. My challenge: What are we going to do about this!?
My talk will incorporate new cutting-edge research I am undertaking into the use of animals in therapy and how they are telepathically attuned to patients.
This builds on the work I wrote about in my chapter in Depth Psychology and Climate Change: The Green Book (Ed. Mathers) (Routledge 2021), and in Exploring Spirituality from a Post-Jungian Perspective: Clinical and Personal Reflections (Routledge 2023).
